AJ Brown Completes Pilgrimage for the Unborn, Raising Awareness for Life

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — After 34 hours and 67 miles on foot, AJ Brown successfully completed
the inaugural Pilgrimage for the Unborn, a prayer journey benefiting InnerVisions HealthCare
(IVHCare) and its mission to support women, children, and families facing unexpected pregnancies.

The pilgrimage brought together supporters from across central Iowa who joined Brown along portions
of the route to pray, walk, and witness to the dignity of every human life. For Brown, the most
meaningful part of the experience was the people who walked alongside him. “What filled my heart
with joy was seeing all the people who showed up,” Brown said. “I saw people I haven’t seen in years,
met people I’d never met before, and had seminarians join us along the way. Knowing how thankful
everyone was for this effort meant so much to me.”

Throughout the journey, Brown was accompanied by members of the IVHCare board, staff, volunteers,
seminarians, clergy, and pro-life advocates. Others supported the pilgrimage through prayer, food,
donations, and encouragement.

While the pilgrimage tested him physically, Brown said the greatest challenge was enduring foot pain
and blisters during the final stretch. “The walking wasn’t necessarily the hardest part,” he said. “My
prayer was simple: ‘Lord, don’t take the pain away; just help me push through the pain.’”

The final tally was 67 miles completed in 34 hours, a testament to Brown’s perseverance and
commitment to the cause of life. IVHCare extends its gratitude to AJ Brown and to the many
individuals who walked, prayed, donated, volunteered, and supported the pilgrimage.
