InnerVisions HealthCare Transitions to Electronic Medical Record
InnerVisions HealthCare, Des Moines’ leading unplanned pregnancy and STD medical clinic, transitioned in August to electronic medical records. This is a big milestone in IVHCare’s short 7-year history.
“With big expansion plans for a second location on Des Moines’ south side in the coming months, it was necessary for the clinic to transition to electronic medical records. In doing this, we wanted to work with a company that offered both a great training program and excellent service,” said Theresa Welch, RN, Executive Director of InnerVisions HealthCare.
After looking at options, InnerVisions selected Aprima, a leading provider of innovative electronic health record, practice management, and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practice.
“We’re grateful that Aprima was willing to work outside of their comfort zone with an unplanned pregnancy clinic. And we’re grateful to our Medical Director, Dr. Greg McKernan of Vitae Family Care, and to the staff of Aprima who provided training and worked with us on-site throughout the transition so we could continue to offer expert medical care to our at-risk and vulnerable patients,” said Welch.
