For years, it’s been Jenny’s desire to have a more robust Baby Bottle Campaign. Thanks to places like St. Joseph’s (Des Moines) and St. John’s (Adel), we know it’s possible to do it well. Fortunately, two volunteers have stepped forward and are dedicated to streamlining and expanding the Baby Bottle Campaign and introducing it to new churches, schools, and youth groups.
Mary Nell Carpenter and Joleen Larson are spearheading this project and have already contacted several churches and youth groups and have some campaigns lined up for the spring & summer! At the end of April, St. Augustin’s Church in Des Moines kicked off our spring campaign, and the ladies passed out over 300 bottles to raise awareness and funds for the women and men who come to our clinic in vulnerable and crisis situations.
St. Thomas in Indianola, Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart in Ankeny, and Assumption have committed to future campaigns, too. Mary Nell and Joleen have an easy-to-implement approach and can easily introduce it to your church, school, or youth group with minimal effort on your part.
If you’d like your organization to learn more about IVHCare, the Baby Bottle Campaign, and the impact you can have on our clinic, contact us today (515.249.2140)! And a special thanks to Mary Nell and Joleen for going the extra mile and helping get bottles into the hands of as many central Iowans as possible!
